Ross League Final - 14th June 2008

2nd place overall in this league for Wyre Forest in an exciting final held at Gloucester

Congratulations to all the swimmers who took part during every round of this league you helped your team reach the final with maximum points. If you weren't at Gloucester's GL1 Pool to witness this exciting final then you missed out on a spectacular occasion. Congratulations to all the Wyre Forest team members who all swam brilliantly.

Wyre Forest came 2nd out of the 8 teams in the final with 293 points. Stourbridge came 1st with 313 points, Cheltenham were 3rd with 285 points, Bromsgrove were 4th with 272 points, Ludlow were 5th with 257 points, Worcester were 6th with 245 points, Haden Hill were 7th with 230 points and Ross-on-Wye were 8th with 195 points.

1st Places in Individual Events: Hannah McCreedy (12) 13/u 2 lths backstroke; Elizabeth Watson 11/u 1 lth freestyle with a PB; Jacob Jackson 9/10 1 lth fly with a PB and 9/10 1 lth breast; Alex Thorley 14/u 2 lths breast; Tom Middleton (10) 11/u 1 lth fly; Sophie Hall 9/10 1 lth free; Frank Carroll 12/u 1 lth breast; Jessica Charles 12/u 1 lth breast and 12/u 1 lth fly; Luke Barnett (11) 12/u 1 lth free; Liam Moss 11/u 1 lth back and Lauren Offley 11/u 1 lth back.

1st Places in Team Events: Girls 9/10 Medley Relay team of: Charlotte Catchpole (PB), Anna Gniwotta (PB), Jessica Abbott and Jemma Postings and the Freestyle Relay Team of Sophie Hall, Jessica Abbott (PB), Charlotte Catchpole (PB) and Jemma Postings;  Boys 11/u Medley Relay team of Liam Moss, Hayden Griffiths, Luke Barnett & Oche Igoche; Girls 11/u Freestyle Relay Team of Erica Harris, Alex Styles, Lucy Breakwell and Elizabeth Watson; Boys 9/10 freestyle Relay of Jacob Jackson, Jack Rowley, Alex Brady and Phillip Hall and the Boys 14/u Freestyle Relay Team of Jack Barnett, Max Ladbrooke (PB), Luc Allin (13) and Alex Thorley.

There were an astonishing 12 Speeding Tickets received by the following swimmers:

Individuals: Oche Igoche (11) 14/u 2 lths Freestyle with a PB, Max Ladbrooke 14/u 2 lths backstroke with a PB, Emily Goodman (12) 14/u 2 lths breastroke with a PB and Grace Catchpole 13/u 2 lths freestyle.
