WFSC members competed in the last weekend of the Worcester County Championships at Wolverhampton on 27th & 28th March.

Overall at these championships WF swimmers have gained over 100 medals with numerous PB times. Link to County Website.

Gold, silver & bronze medals went to the following:

BOYS:
AJ Renton (10yr) 2nd 400m free, 2nd 200m back & 1st 100m free.
Jacob Jackson (12/yr) 3rd 200m IM, 2nd 100m breaststroke, 2nd 50m breaststroke & 3rd 200m back.
Josh Bradley (15/16yr) 1st 50m free, 1st 100m breaststroke,3rd 200m fly & 1st 50m breaststroke & Junior Champion.
Phillip Harrison (17/over) 1st 50m free & 50m breaststroke & senior champion in both.
Hayden Griffiths (13yr) 3rd 200m back & 3rd 100m free.
Luke Ladbrooke (17/over) 200m back senior champion & 1st 100m free also senior champion.
Scott Allin (15/16yr) 1st 400m free, 1st & junior champion in 200m back, 2nd 100m free & 1st 200m IM also junior champion.

GIRLS:
Beth Hinton (11yr) 3rd 100m breaststroke & 3rd 200m IM.
Sophie Hall (11yr) 1st 400m free,1st 50m free & 1st 100m free.
Eliza Bradley (15/16yr) 2nd 100m free & 3rd 50m free.
Alice Hayden Jones (10yr) 1st 50m breaststroke.
Erica Harris (13yr) 3rd 200m fly.
Nicola Bainbridge (17yr/over) 1st open age 50m breaststroke.
Meg Tinsdale (13yr) 1st 100m breaststroke,1st 100m free,1st 200m IM, 2nd 400m free, 2nd 50m free & 2nd 50m breaststroke.

WFSC were in fantastic form at the Worcester County Championships at the weekend, the team gained a massive haul of medals - 16 Gold medals, 20 Silver & 6 Bronze in all with numerous swimmers also reaching the finals.

Congratulations to Wyre Forest for coming 1st in the 2nd round of this league with 159 points. Stourbridge were 2nd with 153 points, Bromsgrove and Evesham both gained 126 points.

Swimmers caught speeding were:
Mason Giles (11/u 1 lth breast), Georgina Knott (9yrs 1 lth breast), Karl Gniwotta (13/u 2 lths free) and Matthew Newey (10/u 1 lth breast).
