BAGCATS
Points awarded during District Championships
Bagcat points are awarded to each swimmer in the District Championships. They are based on various factors such as event, age, sex and position achieved, and are worked out using a specialized computer programme.
They are divided into 4 categories 100's , FORM (back, fly and breast, but not the 100's) I.M's and FREE (all the other freestyle races but not the 100m event). The swimmers's top score only in each category is then added up to give you a final bagcat score. For example If you don't achieve an MQT in say an IM event you won't get any points in that category.
See the District website to find out where you have come in the Bagcat points ranking.
