ROUND ONE - Droitwich 19th January 2008
Wyre Forest took first place with an outstanding 214 points, 2nd place was Droitwich with 169 points, 3rd Orion - 139, 4th Haden Hill - 138, 5th Oldbury - 105 and 6th was Perry Beeches B with 57.
Well done to everyone who took part in this gala there were many outstanding performances. Well done to newcomer Erica Harris who had a very good start to her competative career. Congratulations also to Lauren Offley, new to this league, who improved her 50m breastroke time by 2 seconds despite being unwell. There were 28 PB's overall and 23 1st places out of 40 events. WF also won all but one of their relays.
1st places in individual events: Connor Allen (12) 13/u 4 lths back with a PB, Megan Tinsdale 11/u 2 lths free with a PB,Oche Igoche 11/u 2 lths free with a PB and 11/u 2 lths breast, Eliza Bradley (13) 13/u 4 lths fly and 15/u 4 lths fly with a PB and 13/u 4 lths free, Scott Allin (14) open 4 lths back with a PB and 15/u 4 lths back, Luke Barnett 11/u 2 lths back with a PB and 2 lths fly with a PB, Phill Harrison open 4 lths free and open 4 lths breast, Hannah Wear open 4 lths breast, Alex Thorley 15/u 2 lths fly and Kat Whelan 13/u 4 lths breast.
1st Places in team events: 11/u mixed medley relay (back,breast,breast,fly,free,free) of Megan Tinsdale, Oche Igoche, Lauren Offley, Luke Barnett, Erica Harris and Calum Tinsdale and freestyle relay team of Offley, C Tinsdale, Harris, L Barnett, M Tinsdale, Igoche; 15/u mixed medley relay of Eliza Bradley, Jack Barnett, Kat Whelan, Alex Thorley, Faith Ross and Richard Harrison and the freestyle team of Emily Lane, J Barnett, Bradley, Scott Allin, Ross and A Thorley; Open medley relay of Verity Thorley, Phill Harrison, Hannah Wear, A Thorley, Bradley and J Barnett and the open freestyle team of Bradley, J Barnett, Wear, R Harrison, Ross and P Harrison.
There were some valiant swims from under-age swimmers including Katie Parker, Beth Lewis, Luke Barnett, Junior Girls captain Faith Ross, Megan Tinsdale who all gained PB's in a higher age-group. 11 year old Megan Tinsdale competed in the 15 & under 4 lengths backstroke gaining a very good PB. Congratulations to Jessica Lewis (10) who swam in this league for the first time achieving 2 PB's.

Wyre Forest came 5th with 116 points. 1st was Stourbridge A with 201, 2nd Bromsgrove with 156, 3rd Worcester B with 128, 4th was Haden Hill with 123 and 6th was Droitwich with 111.
1st places in individual events: Megan Tinsdale 11/u 2 lengths freestyle with a PB; Oche Igoche 11/u 2 lths freestyle with a PB; Eliza Bradley 13/u 4 lths freestyle and 4 lths fly and Scott Allin 15/u 4 lths backstroke with a PB.
1st places in team events: Mixed 11/u 6 x 1 freestyle relay team of Lauren Offley, Hayden Griffiths. Jessica Lewis (PB), Luke Barnett, Megan Tinsdale and Oche Igoche.
FINAL - 20th April 2008 (Droitwich)
Wyre Forest were in the 3rd Final held at Droitwich. The winner of the cup for the 3rd final was Haden Hill with 187 points, Wyre Forest were 2nd with 164 points, Halesowen 'B' were 3rd with 162 points, Orion were 4th with 149 points and Droitwich were 5th with 134 points.
Although we won our first round in the league, it was the fact that we only came 3rd in the 2nd round that determined we would be in the 3rd final. Again hampered by lack of open and 15 year old ladies our younger females had to swim up one or two age groups. A full set of results has been published (as always) on the forum.
1st Places in Events: Megan Tinsdale 11/u 2 lths freestyle, Eliza Bradley 13/u 4 lths fly and 13/u 4 lths free, Luke Ladbrooke Open 4 lths back, Hayden Griffiths 11/u 2 lths back, with a PB, Jack Barnett (14) 15/u 4 lths breast with a PB, Scott Allin (14) 15/u 4 lths back and the 15/u 6 X 1 relay team of Lizzie Hall (13), Richard Harrison, Eliza Bradley (13), Alex Thorley (14), Emily Lane with a PB and Josh Bradley (14) with a PB.

ROUND TWO - Droitwich 16th February 2008
Wyre Forest's brilliant winning streak came to an end, albeit temporarily,on Saturday as a brave, but depleted team tried to battle it out against some very stiff competition. Unfortunately team WFSC had only one open swimmer, Girls Captain Verity Thorley, and no 15 year old girls. This meant that many of our younger swimmers had to swim in the open events. The knock on effect of this was that 13 year old girls Eliza Bradley and and Kat Whelan couldn't swim in the 15 & under age-group as well. 14 year old boys Scott Allin, Junior Boys captain Jack Barnett, Josh Bradley and Alex Thorley all swam in the open individual events.
