Round One

WFSC travelled all the way to Clay Cross to compete in the 1st round of the Speedo League. Wyre Forest are in Division Two of the West Midlands Group. Wyre Forest came 4th with 177 points against the following clubs: Shrewsbury (206), Witney (197), Eckington (183), Rykneld (150) and Wellington (127).

Bob Walters (Team Manager) was extremely pleased with the swimmers performance and especially glad to have had a full open mens team. There were 31 Personal Best times achieved in total.

1st places were achieved by: The boys 13/u Medley relay team comprising Scott Allin (PB 34.76), Josh Bradley (PB 39.28), Alex Thorley and Jack Barnett (PB 30.00); Richard Carter Open 100m Fly; Amy Smith Open 100m Back & 100m Free; Oche Igoche 11/u 50m breast & 50 Free; Alex Thorley 13/u Boys 100m Fly (PB 1.14.87) and the Girls 13/u freestyle relay team comprising Faith Ross, Katie Parker, Jess Griffiths and Eliza Bradley.

After round 1 - WFSC are 13th out of 24 teams in the West Midlands section, Division 2.

Round Two

Hosted by WFSC and held at Wombourne. Thanks to everyone who helped with the running of this gala it all went extremely smoothly on the whole and finished in good time. WFSC came 5th with 151 points. First was Ludlow 205, 2nd Stafford Apex 196, 3rd Northgate 187, 4th Leek 168 amd 6th Rykneld with 131 points. There were no first places but there were18 personal best times. Again there were a lot of swimmers who had to swim up one or even two age groups. A valiant effort was made by all and all the swimmers were a credit to the club.

After round 2 - WFSC are 15th out of 24 teams in the West Midlands Section, Division 2

Round Three

Held at Bromsgrove a 27.5 yard pool. All times have been converted to 25m.

WFSC came 5th with 141 points. Solihull was 1st with 214, Leek 2nd 198, Eckington 3rd 187, Redditch 4th 175 and Rugby 6th with 125.

The following swimmers achieved 1st places: The 13/u Boys Medley Relay team of Scott Allin, Josh Bradley, Alex Thorley (PB 33.55) and Jack Barnett (PB 29.31), the same team came 1st in the Freestyle relay team (Bradley, Allin, Thorley with a PB of 31.26 and Barnett). Oche Igoche (11/u) 2 lengths Back with a PB of 38.25 and 2 lengths Free, Scott Allin (13/u) 4 lengths Back, Alex Thorley (13) 4 lengths Fly.
