ROUND ONE - 13TH OCTOBER 2007 - BURTON ON TRENT, MEADOWSIDE CENTRE
Congratulations to WFSC for winning round one of their Speedo League fixture at Burton (Division 2) by 3 points with 197 points overall. Redditch came 2nd with 194, Rykneld 3rd with 189, Eckington 4th with 187, Bilston 5th with 142 and Linslade 6th with 130 points. Results will be published at a later date.
1st places Individual Events: Megan Tinsdale 11/u 2 lengths backstroke, Luke Barnett 11/u 2 lengths backstroke, Hannah McCreedy 11/u 2 lengths fly Luke Ladbrooke (16) mens open 4 lengths back, Emily Goodman 11/u 2 lengths breast Oche Igoche 11/u 2 lengths breast and 11/u 2 lengths freestyle, Faith Ross 13/u 4 lengths fly and Eliza Bradley 13/u 4 lengths freestyle.
1st places Team Events: Girls 9 - 11 4x2 freestyle relay team of Megan Tinsdale, Emily Goodman , Jemma Postings and Hannah McCreedy; Girls 13/u 4x2 Medley Relay team of Faith Ross , Bethany Lewis, Eliza Bradley and Lizzie Hall ; Girls 13/u Freestyle relay team of Bradley, Katie Parker , Hall and Ross, Boys 15/u Freestyle relay team of Scott Allin, Jack Barnett , Alex Thorley and Richard Harrison, Ladies Open 6x2 Freestyle Relay of Hannah Wear, Katie Parker (13), Eliza Bradley (13), Emily Lane (15), Faith Ross (12) and Lizzie Hall (13).
ROUND TWO - 10TH NOVEMBER 2007 - BROMSGROVE
Well done to all the swimmers. Everyone swam extremely well and fought back during the evening to be in contention of a place in the final for promotion. However it was not to be and WFSC finished in joint 2nd place with Solihull with 201 points. Solihull had overall more 1st places during the event and will go through. Northgate came 1st with 209 points proving that it was a very close event. Rykneld were 4th with 153. Wolverhampton were 5th with 146 and Luton came 6th with 139 points.
1st places Individual Events: Luke Ladbrooke mens open 4 lgths backstroke; Eliza Bradley 13/u 4 lgths fly and Oche Igoche 10-11 years 2 lghts freestyle.
1st places in team events: Boys 10-11 freestyle 4x2 relay team of Luke Barnett, Tom Middleton, Oche Igoche and Hayden Griffiths and the medley team of Barnett, Griffiths, Igoche and Calum Tinsdale; Girls 13/u 4 x medley relay team of Faith Ross, Kat Whelan, Eliza Bradley and Lizzie Hall and the freestyle team of Bradley, Ross, Katie Parker and Lizzie Hall and Boys 15/u 4 x 2 freestyle relay team of Jack Barnett, Scott Allin, Alex Thorley and Richard Harrison.
FINAL ROUND - 8TH DECEMBER - CLAY CROSS
