Division Two

ROUND ONE - 8th April 2006

The league started with round one at Stechford on 8th April 2006. Wyre Forest came 4th out of 6 teams. The results as follows: 1st Ludlow 209 points, 2nd Brierley Hill 201 points, 3rd Oakengates 200, 4th WFSC 155 points, 5th Bilston 151 points and 6th Droitwich with 134 points.

Newcomers Elizabeth Watson (9) and Reece Griffiths (9) swam brilliantly chalking up very fast times for their debut swims.

Oche Igoche (10) achieved 1st places in the 10/U 2 lths breast (PB 45.20)and the 11/U 2 lths breast (45.86). Eliza Bradley came 1st in the 12/U 2 lths fly with a PB of 33.82 and Katherine Whelan came 1st in the 12/U 2 lths breast with a PB of 44.67.

The boys 11/U freestyle relay team also came 1st. The team included Andrew Boyce, Nick Thorley, Oche Igoche and Niall Adams.

The girls 12/U freestyle relay team got 1st place as well. The team included: Chloe Keen, Katie Parker, Jess Griffiths and Eliza Bradley. As did the girls 12/U Medley relay team of Bradley, Whelan, Keen and Griffiths.

Well done to all the swimmers.

ROUND TWO - 13th May 2006

In a very competative gala WFSC came a creditable joint 4th with Dove Valley with 155 points.

Once again the 12/U year old girls did very well with the freestyle and medley relay teams gaining 1st place in both events. The Freestyle team consisted of Chloe Keen, Faith Ross, Olivia Ward and Eliza Bradley. (Ross, Ward, Keen, Bradley in the Medley) Olivia Ward gained a PB in her breastroke leg of 21.96. Eliza also won the 12/U 2 lths Fly and 12/U 2 lths Free gaining a PB in the freestyle of 30.03.

Oche Igoche (10) won his three individual races the 10/U 2 lths Freestyle, 10/U 2 lths Br/S and the 11/U 2 lths Br/S.

2nd places went to:Elizabeth Wilkinson in 10/U 2 lths freestyle with a PB of 38.59; Faith Ross 12/U 2 lths Back; The girls 10/U Medley relay team of Megan Tinsdale (PB 21.45), Emily Goodman, Paige Wilkins, Elizabeth Wilkinson (PB 17.36); Niall Adams 11/U 2 lths Back; the 10/U girls freestyle relay team of Alex Styles, Emily Goodman, Megan Tinsdale and Elizabeth Wilkinson.

There were 20 personal bests overall.

ROUND THREE - 17th June 2006

WFSC came 4th with 152 points. There were 17 PB's (personal best times) in total. First places were achieved by Oche Igoche (back from injury) in the 10/u 2 lths free and breast, Faith Ross (11) in the 12/u 2 lths back with a PB of 36.69, Eliza Bradley in the 12/u 2 lths fly and free and the 12/u girls freestyle relay team of Chloe Keen , Katherine Whelan, Ross and Bradley.The 12/u relay team also came 2nd in the medley relay swimming in the following order Ross, Whelan, Keen and Bradley.
The 9 year old girls freestyle relay team also came 2nd comprising Jemma Postings, Lucy Breakwell, Georgia Tully and Elizabeth Watson. All 4 of the 9 year old boys freestyle team achieved PB's coming 4th. The team comprised Tom Middleton (21.70), Tom Guy (23.25), Leo Hopley (23.15) and Ross Chapman (20.13).

Jessica Bishop achieved 3 PB's out of 4 events and Leo Hopley,Tom Middleton and Ross Chapman all achieved 2 PB's each.
