Learn To Swim
Learn To Swim classes are designed to teach children the basics of swimming in an enjoyable atmosphere, following the National Plan For Teaching Swimming
As a general rule we take children from the age of 5 years, though an earlier age is possible if the children are accustomed to the water. Instruction for beginners is by helpers being in the water with the children allowing them to become confident by playing and enjoying themselves. As they become more able they progress to group instruction across the width of the pool.
Classes are for 30 minutes and one hour, dependant on the ability of the swimmer (Levels 1-3 are 30 mins and Levels 4-7 are for 1hr). Classes take place at the Stourport Sports Centre.
NPTS Instructors (Level 2): Lorna Griffiths, Stella Searl, Bob Walters
Assistant instructors (Level 1): Amanda Giles, April Bradley, Verity Thorley
ASA Helpers: Scott Allin, Jack Barnett, Josh Bradley and Steve Eddies.
